Smt. Kashibai Navale Medical College & General Hospital (SKNMCGH), operated by Sinhgad Technical Education Society, was established in 2007. It combines robust medical education, a modern campus environment, and quality patient care. The college is affiliated with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) and recognized by the NMC.
Campus & Facilities:
- Campus spans approximately 32–36 acres in Ambegaon, Narhe (off the Mumbai–Pune bypass).
- The hospital started in 2006 with 300 beds and expanded to a 1,094-bed facility, including 840 teaching beds, 80 ICU beds, 40 casualty beds, 20 Oral & Maxillofacial surgery beds, 64 daycare beds, and 48 OT recovery beds.
- The medical college began with 100 MBBS seats in 2007; the intake is now 150 seats.
- A well-equipped central library offers over 16,000 books, multiple national & international journals, and digital resources, with separate reading areas for students and faculty.
- Separate hostels for male and female students include shared rooms, attached washrooms, Wi-Fi, mess facilities, and 24/7 security.
Courses Offered:
- Undergraduate: MBBS with 150 seats (4.5 years academic + 1 year internship).
- Postgraduate (MD/MS): Offers courses in specialties such as General Medicine, Surgery, Pediatrics, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Gynecology, Anesthesia, Radiology, Dermatology, Pulmonary Medicine, Biochemistry, Pathology, Pharmacology, Microbiology, Community Medicine, and more.
Admission Process:
- MBBS: Admission through NEET-UG followed by Maharashtra state counseling.
- MD/MS: Admission via NEET-PG and state counseling.
- Final admission finalized after document verification and fee payment.
