Established in 2015, GIMSR is Andhra Pradesh’s first private deemed medical college, set amidst the scenic GITAM University campus in Rushikonda, Visakhapatnam. Affiliated with GITAM Deemed-to-be University, the institute is NAAC A++ accredited and holds Category-1 status from the UGC. Courses Offered:
- MBBS – 150 seats per year (4.5 years plus 1-year internship)
- Postgraduate (MD/MS) – 12 clinical and 2 para-clinical disciplines offered since 2021–22
- B.Sc. Paramedical Programmes such as B.Sc. Nursing, Physiotherapy, Radiology, Emergency Med Tech, Optometry—all forming part of the allied health ecosystem.
Admission Process:
- MBBS: Selection is based on NEET-UG, followed by MCC or state counselling.
- MD/MS: Admission via NEET-PG and relevant counselling processes.
- B.Sc. Paramedical: Entry through the institution’s GAT (Paramedical UG) exam.
