Established in 1971, PUMBA—also known as Pune University MBA—is a pioneering public business school within the Savitribai Phule Pune University setup, accredited with an ‘A’ grade by NAAC and fully recognized by UGC. Admission Process:
- MBA admissions are handled via Maharashtra's DTE CAP rounds based on scores in MAH-MBA CET, CAT, ATMA, XAT, or CMAT; followed by GD/PI evaluation.
- Executive MBA and PhD admissions require additional criteria such as work experience and entrance exam eligibility including UGC-NET/GATE/MHT-CET.
Placements & Recruiters:
- PUMBA has consistently secured ~95% placement for its MBA batches—2022–24 saw 161 of 171 students placed.
- Average domestic package rose from ₹8.1 LPA (2022) → ₹8.85 LPA (2023) → ₹9.40 LPA (2024), with the top 50% averaging ₹10.84 LPA and top 10% at ₹15.42 LPA.
